Our Mentors include students, graduates, housewives, professionals and unemployed individuals. What they have in common is their desire and ability to make a difference by sharing their strengths and abilities and a sense of giving back to their communities. Volunteers are given the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised accreditation; this is supported and facilitated by the Pioneers Team.
The Adsan CVQ (Community Volunteering Qualification) is an accredited award based on community volunteering, the award is not specific to mentoring but can be turned to any voluntary work that is based in the community. In Pioneers case that would be the schools and the impact mentoring has had in the community.
The award is based on a minimum of 120 hours of voluntary work in conjunction with developing a portfolio consisting of statements and evidence.
